How Can Reflexology Help You? |
What is a Reflexology treatment?
Treatments are generally one hour in length and are scheduled once a week until a consistent improvement can be achieved. Many people feel a noticeable enhancement after only one treatment. Clients are advised not to eat a heavy meal in the two hours before treatment and to drink plenty of water or herbal tea and take an Epson salt bath after the treatment to help pass the toxins. During a treatment, the client sits in a chair or on a massage table, fully clothed excepting the feet, which remain bare. Legs are raised to meet chest level of the practitioner, who is able to use pressure and palpation to alleviate tension and stiffness in the feet. This results in total body relaxation because of the direct relationship between the pressure points in the feet and the rest of the body. It is truly an amazing experience. The session concludes with the application of specially selected aromatherapeutic oils to the feet and calves. Finally, The client will receive a detailed foot chart to be able to see and treat the problem areas. Post treatment, clients often report a sense of overall well-being, a better connection to their bodies and emotions and an ease of communication in difficult situations. |
